The ProTek R/C "SureStart" 1/8 Off-Road Starter Box is built for racers who demand power, reliability, and convenience at an affordable price. Designed specifically for 1/8 buggy and truggy platforms, the SureStart packs serious torque thanks to its dual 775-size 6300 RPM motors—more than enough power to turn over even the tightest brand-new nitro engines.

With factory-installed T-Style connectors, high-quality 16AWG silicone wiring, and a battery tray compatible with common 7.2V NiMH or 7.4V LiPo packs, the SureStart is ready for action out of the box. A convenient quick-access lid makes internal maintenance tool-free and effortless. Whether you’re breaking in an engine or firing up for your main event, the SureStart ensures you're never stuck in the pits.

*4S Battery Note: The SureStart uses a Y-harness for dual batteries. To run a single 4S pack, remove the Y-harness and solder a direct T-Style connector.

Starter Wheel Note:

From the factory, the rubber starter wheel may sit slightly low for some flywheels. To increase contact, simply install small washers under the motor/belt bulkhead to raise the wheel height.
